Cincinnati Bengals RB Bernard Scott (hamstring) didn't show any problems with his previous hamstring injury during the team's preaseason game Thursday, Aug. 25, but he said following the game that he still is not 100 percent. Scott rushed for 63 yards on six carries, including a 12-yard touchdown run. 'He ran a power play on his touchdown and there's an unblocked guy standing right in front of him. He just cut it. The guy wouldn't have even pulled his flag in flag football; that's how quick it was,' said offensive coordinator Jay Gruden.
Huddle Up: Scott is a dandy handcuff pick for Cedric Benson who also looked good in the third preseason game, carrying 16 times for 68 yards and a touchdown. Scott will probably mix into the flow and spell Benson often this year, which could be a good thing for Benson-owners who need him fresh all season.
